DO YOU ABSOLUTELY DREAD YOUR MONDAY MORNINGS?
This is one to ponder as moods can be changeable with us humans! However, if ‘every’ Monday fills you with dread or you get the dreaded ‘Fear’ on a Sunday evening it may be worth considering a move?
HAVE YOU LOST THE PASSION FOR YOUR POSITION?
Your role should give you a sense of value but if you are clock watching all day – not only is it bad for you it’s bad for the employer. Before you jump ship some considerations must be processed such as; what else could I be doing, is this role taking me in the right direction?
YOU TAKE SICK DAYS AND HOLIDAYS FOR NO REASON?
If you feel yourself skiving off to watch day time TV, then action needs to be taken if this has become a repeated habit. Why do want to be off? – If you have lost the lust of the job then its time to get into something which is going to give you a the ‘umfph’ to achieve.
HAVE YOU STOPPED CARING?
This can be so dangerous and where mistakes can be made at work which may have a knock-on effect for your next role when references are to be obtained.
ARE YOU VERY ENVIOUS OF OTHERS?
If you are in a situation where you are not getting the exposure and other co-worker are? It may be worth thinking about how you can show you line manager what your skill set is to gain the exposure of the skills desired. Prompting a conversation with them and discussing how you want to move forward can be very helpful for your development and shows initiative.
Or perhaps you have friends or relatives are in other industries which sound more glamorous … You know what they say ‘ the grass isn’t always greener!

As you climb the career ladder, positions become fewer and the competition gets tougher but the rewards are greater! If you can see real development in the company it may be worth being tactical and toughing it out – however if there is no room for growth in the business away from the individuals, then this long term uncomfortable relationships may need leaving behind with fresh approach in a new role.
